Winter by the River

Our neighbours at London Bridge City have announced the much-anticipated return of Winter by the River. From 13 November 2025 – 4 January 2026, the banks of the River Thames will become a festive escape for all ages. Explore rows of charming boutique market stalls, bursting with artisan crafts, thoughtful gifts, and delicious treats. From luxury finds and handmade creations to meaningful “gifts for good” in partnership with social enterprises, there’s something to delight every shopper.

This year, there will be a new look for The Glasshouse – a two-storey festive venue with panoramic views across the Thames. You can relax under a heated rooftop canopy or step onto the open balcony (with a hot drink in hand) to enjoy the views. Serving a menu of seasonal drinks, craft beers, pizza and hot waffles, The Glasshouse Terrace is ideal for after-work gatherings, date nights or private celebrations. There will also be exclusive events and entertainment throughout the season, such as Paint & Sip, happy hours and live music Wednesdays – Saturdays.

Back by popular demand, the Swift Stone Curling pop-up returns bigger and better. Gather your friends, family or colleagues and test your skills on this year’s expanded layout, featuring six new curling lanes, a larger central bar, and an apres-ski themed Aperol bar, all set inside a cosy, glass-enclosed riverside venue. With space for up to eight players per lane, each 50-minute session blends friendly competition with festive atmosphere, a perfect choice for holiday get-togethers or team outings.
