Have you explored Tower Bridge?

We’re very lucky to have one of the world’s most famous landmarks as a neighbour.    Day or night, in sunshine or rain, Tower Bridge towers over the river Thames and draws millions of people to visit, admire and have their photos taken in front of  its imposing structure.

Opened in 1894, it’s been the backdrop to many national occasions since then, as well as providing a busy traffic route across the river for Londoners.   And if you’re lucky, you can stand on Potters Fields Park and watch the bridge open to let tall ships through.  The busy docks which used to line the river bank have long gone, so it’s now mainly visiting naval vessels, cruise and leisure ships and historical tall ships which pass through.   Take our word for it – it’s never boring to watch, and you can find bridge lifting times here

It’s also loved by our many event and film clients looking for the perfect, instantly recognisable, London location for a documentary, fashion shoot, PR launch, brand activation or cultural festival.   You can see some examples and find out more here.

We strongly recommend a visit to Tower Bridge, where you can explore its  fascinating history, see how it was built – a feat of Victorian design and engineering – and discover how the famous bascules work to raise and lower the bridge for river traffic.

As well as guided tours, there are plenty of activities for families and schools to enjoy.  And, if you pick up a souvenir and exit through the shop, you can always relax with an ice-cream on Potters Fields Park.
