More reasons (with ice-cream) to enjoy Potters Fields Park

26 May 2020

As lockdown restrictions gradually ease, people can now exercise as much as they like, play certain sports with people from their own households and meet one other person from outside their households in outdoor public spaces. It’s now possible to sit on park benches and enjoy nature, the views and the spring weather – as long as social distancing of 2 metres is maintained.

And better still – all this can now be done with ice-cream!   The vendor has returned, with strict hygiene and queuing measures in place, so socially-distanced ice-cream can be enjoyed along with the views and the sunshine.

We hope that more restrictions will be lifted in the next few weeks, so that people can start enjoying lazy summer lunches and picnics again on the Park. Meanwhile, we’d urge all visitors to help us by sticking to the guidelines; more information can be found here:

What you can and can’t do

St.John’s Churchyard will re-open shortly, just as soon as the final works are completed and the fences can be safely removed
