We’ve done it again – in our 21st anniversary year! Both Potters Fields Park and St John’s Churchyard have kept their winning streaks going at the @greenflagaward 

This annual accreditation, managed by environmental charity @keepbritaintidy,acknowledges amazing green spaces in the UK and the hard work that goes into maintaining them.   Every year we must give a shout out to the hard work and dedication of our @gavin_jones_ltd team for looking after our parks and keeping them clean, tidy and full of lush greenery for the community to enjoy.

Phase 1 of our new sustainable planting scheme, planted in 2025, has thrived and exploded with colour, flora and pollinators this year. Phase 2 was completed early in 2026 and is already establishing well.

Special thanks go to to @cityscapesuk and @spaceshaper for designing and completing both phases, which see beds of recycled sand and crushed concrete planted with a variety of drought-tolerant native and European species suitable for the ever-changing climate. The bees, the birds and the butterflies are already enjoying the new habitats.
