Make Music Day – Big Summer Wind Orchestra and Choir

21 June 2024

In celebration of Make Music Day, an international festival of music making, hundreds of musicians will come together for a spectacular performance. A large wind orchestra and choir will assemble on Potters Fields Park for a glorious evening of music on a giant scale. Previous events have brought together everything from piccolos to contrabass clarinets with a full range of singing voices, and this year should be the biggest yet!

The event will include a new composition from Debbie Wiseman, being performed for the first time. Debbie is one of the UK’s leading composers and conductors, and also President of Making Music. Alongside a range of classical favourites and popular songs, there will be something for everyone in the programme.

Fancy joining in the fun? Everyone is welcome to take part in the exciting performance, whether a seasoned professional or an absolute beginner, with any wind orchestra instrument or just your voice. Sign up here

Supported by Team London Bridge, with public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and assistance from Making Music.
