What’s on at the Bridge Theatre

We love watching audiences queuing excitedly on Potters Fields Park outside the Bridge Theatre.    Since it opened in 2017, we’ve enjoyed a fantastic range of new plays, Shakespearean classics and star performances (not to mention great coffee, wines and baked treats from St. John).

For nearly two years, the award-winning musical ‘Guys and Dolls’ has entertained the crowds, and we’ve often heard people humming the tunes as they make their way home through the park.

Sadly, the Hot Box closed its doors for the last time on January 4th,  but we’re anticipating the theatre’s next production, which is Shakespeare’s Richard II, starring Jonathan Bailey (of Bridgerton and Wicked fame) in the title role.

This subtle, ambiguous and powerful play revolves round two startlingly modern figures: Richard, an autocrat who believes he is divinely sanctioned, and Henry Bolingbroke, a hard-headed pragmatist who has genuine authority.  We can’t wait to catch it from February 10th – you can find out more and book tickets here

In the meantime, a short hop on the Northern Line to King’s Cross will take you to Lightroom.  Founded by the same team as the Bridge Theatre, this home of artist-led storytelling works with major artistic talents across art, music, film, fashion, science and more to create unique immersive experiences.   You can currently choose between  fashion with VOGUE: Inventing the Runway  and  space travel with The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks. And there’s the promise of dinosaurs later in the year……
