Welcome to the Potters Fields Park blog. This is where we give you general news on what is happening on the park and you can hear from Albert the Pug, our head gardener’s dog. You can also subscribe to our quarterly newsletter at the bottom of the page to get regular updates.

Green Flag Award 2016

We are delighted to announce that Potters Fields Park has won a prestigious Green Flag Award for the second year running.

The award, now celebrating its 20th year, recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces across the country. A Green Flag is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.

Potters Fields is among a record-breaking 1,686 parks and green spaces that received a prestigious Green Flag Award – the mark of a quality park or green space.

The Green Flag Awards are judged by an army of more than 700 green space experts, who volunteer their time to visit applicant sites and assess them against eight strict criteria, including horticultural standards, cleanliness, sustainability and community involvement. More info can be found at http://www.greenflagaward.org.uk

Everyone at the Potters Fields Park Trust is absolutely thrilled with the award and we’d specifically like to thank our dedicated team of gardeners on the park.
