Welcome to Potters Fields Park and St. John’s Churchyard

"Every blade of grass is worth its weight in gold"

Lil Patrick, Southwark resident (1918 - 2000)

Potters Fields Park is a unique green open space by the Thames next to Tower Bridge. With its spacious lawns, whispering trees, quiet walkways and colourful wildlife-friendly gardens, it offers an oasis in the middle of London. Whether you’re looking for quiet contemplation, spectacular views, somewhere to walk the dog, a place to picnic with friends or a lively event, Potters Fields is open 365 days a year for everyone to enjoy. It can also be hired for events.

St. John’s Churchyard is a few minutes’ walk away and is a quieter community park with a children’s play area, peaceful grassy areas for relaxation, outdoor table tennis and boules facilities and newly-planted wildlife and wetlands beds. It has recently re-opened following an upgrade.

Both parks are managed by Potters Fields Park Management Trust, a not-for-profit organisation.
